Synopsis:
Dookudu is the story of a young cop Ajay (Mahesh) who encounters the enemies of his father Shankar Narayana (Prakash Raj) while investigating the case of a mafia don.His father who was thought to be dead was actually in coma. After 14 years, he recovers from coma. Doctors tells mahesh not to tell any thing which hurts him. The rest of the story is all about how Ajay saves his father and takes revenge on his father’s enemies.
How they performed?:
The character of Ajay is a tailor made role for Mahesh. He delievered good performance in jovial as well as sentimental scenes too. He adapted effortlessly to the new diction and made complete justice to the dialogues.
Samantha play the love interest of Mahesh in this movie. This is one such character which she should not be doing if she aspiures to make it big in Tollywood. She virtually had nothing to do in the movie.
Brahmanandham and MS Narayana comedy is an asset to the movie. Every frame of them in the movie is a laughing riot.
Syaji Shinde, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Nasser, Sonu Sood, Prakash Raj were good in their roles.
Technical departments:
Srinu Vaitla does justice to his role partly. He never fails in choosing good story but when it comes to the narration part, he fails miserably. This is evident in the second half where he could not figure out what he is exactly concentrating on.
Srinu Vaitla is one director who always makes the best use of thecomedian in Brahmi and this movie is no less.Brahmi’s comedy track and the dialogues did not allow audience to stick to their seats.
Rerecording by Thaman is superb.Undoubtedly, this is the best in his career.Cinematography by Guhan is pretty ordinary. Production values by 14 reels are excellent.
Final Say:
First half of the movie is entertaining though it is lengthy. Srinu Vaitla loses his track in the second half. He failed to deliever his best there. However it is good in parts. Totally, the movie is an average fare but will do well as there is no competition at the box office.
